Editorial Policy

This page explains, step by step, how we collect prices, build our tables, write explanations and fix mistakes. The same rules apply to every category on the website.

Our aim

Our aim is simple: give buyers in Pakistan an accurate, easy-to-read list of Dawlance prices and specifications, with enough explanation to choose the right model. We would rather leave a detail blank than show something we can’t back up.

Where prices come from

Prices are taken from Dawlance’s official product listing for each category and shown in Pakistani rupees, exactly as listed. When Dawlance shows a crossed-out old price next to a lower sale price, we show the sale price. Dealer prices, discounts, bank offers and instalment plans can differ, so we always remind readers to confirm the final price with the seller. More detail is on our where prices come from page.

How we build a price list

  1. Collect the full listing. We copy every product in the category from Dawlance’s listing, not just the first page.
  2. Split each name. Each product name is split into its model number, its finish or colour, and its type, for example double door or no frost.
  3. Remove repeats. When the same model, finish and price appears more than once, we keep one. We compare model, finish and price together, so two finishes of the same model are never merged.
  4. Match capacities. Capacity is taken from Dawlance’s published information or an explicit unit label in the model name. If it isn’t published, it is marked as not listed.
  5. Calculate. Price ranges, starting prices and value tables are calculated from the cleaned list by our own scripts, so no number is typed in by hand.
  6. Review. We check the totals against the original listing, check that every table and link works, and read the page on a phone before it goes live.

Models, finishes and names

A model is the base appliance, such as the 9173WB fridge. A finish is a version of that model with a different door colour, material, display or trim, such as Chrome Pearl Copper or Avante+ Sapphire Purple. Each finish gets its own row in our price lists because each has its own price.

We use the names people search for in Pakistan in our headings, for example “fridge” rather than only “refrigerator”, while using both words naturally in the text.

Specifications

We only show a specification when it is published or can be read directly from the model name. We never estimate a capacity, energy rating, voltage range or feature. If we are not sure, we leave it out and say so.

How we write explanations

When we explain a feature such as an inverter compressor, no frost cooling or Low Voltage Start, we describe how it works and what it changes for the buyer in everyday words. We don’t repeat marketing claims such as exact savings percentages unless they are officially published, and we point readers to the product’s specification sheet for exact figures.

Calculations and value tables

A capacity-based comparison is shown only when the required capacity is verified. The current fridge data does not include verified capacities, so fridge price-per-capacity rankings and model-to-household size assignments have been removed. Model and finish prices remain listed.

Pictures

We match product photographs from Dawlance’s official listings to model names and retain our own labelled appliance illustration where an exact photo is missing. Fridge and freezer cards may cover several finishes; their captions identify the finish shown. Product photographs remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Independence and advertising

We are not paid by Dawlance, dealers or anyone else to list, rank or promote a product. The order of models on a page comes from type, size and price, not from payment. We have no affiliate links and earn nothing when you buy an appliance.

This website shows ads from Google AdSense to cover its running costs. Ads are chosen by Google, not by us. Advertisers have no say in which products we list, their prices or the order they appear in.

Corrections

  1. A reader reports a problem through our contact page, or we find it ourselves.
  2. We check the report against Dawlance’s official information.
  3. If the page is wrong, we correct it. When a whole price list has changed, we rebuild the full list for that category rather than editing single rows.

We are grateful to every reader who reports a mistake.
